Mirko Borsche (@smalkgb) are geniuses.
According to the famous quote by Oscar Wilde, they are.
❝ Talent borrows, genius steals. ❞
Today is the day we’re really proud to have been ripped off by one of our favourite studio from Germany.
They litterally took the Witches Arise Font we designed with Elsa ( → http://www.thinkink.fr ) one year ago, changed the name to Benjamin Font and used it for their client Die Weltwoche.
It was not hard work as the font was freely distributed through the site of the movie it was designed for → http://www.aninsaneportrait.us/
Check the images below, even the PDF to present the work is an exact copy of the one we made.
They just changed the letter “Q”, the “K” and enlarged a little bit the “H”.
Were these letters that bad? Maybe. Or not.
One thing we have to admit is that they use it very well (check the double spread for the Weltwoche magazine).
Oh, and today we have to decide which studio will be our next favourite.
